Consultation fees vary depending on the type of appointment and any tests required. Medicare rebates are available with a valid referral.
Visionare is a private billing practice and all consultations incur a fee which varies depending on the complexity of the condition and treatment. If you have private health insurance, we recommend checking with your insurer to confirm your level of cover and any rebates available for the inpatient treatment you require.
Our reception team will provide an estimate of your consultation costs before your appointment. For inpatient treatments, you will also receive separate quotes for any applicable theatre and anaesthetist fees.
Fees are payable on the day of service.
Initial Consults
Range: $279 - $566 (depending on condition)
Medicare rebate: $88 – $153
Review Consults
Required follow-up appointments will be quoted depending on your condition.
Cataract Surgery
We offer No Gap and $500 Gap payments for insured patients depending on the lens you select. Book in for a consultation with our friendly surgeons to discuss which implant is right for you.
For uninsured patients, our surgeons' fees for cataract surgery range from $1,497 - $2,142. Additional costs will include hospital fees, post-operative eye drops and anaesthetist fees. These fees will be quoted once surgery has been booked, following your consultation.
